I know, I know.  I said that I would say more.  Blog more. Tell you more stuff about the finale.  But a couple of things are going on.  Things I have to do before I can sit down and write properly.

One:  Private Practice begins shooting this week and I’ve got to make sure Addison is all taken care of.

Two:  The NATIONAL SPELLING BEE is this week!  NATIONAL!  SPELLING!  BEE!  Channel your inner speller or your non-inner speller and check it out on ESPN on Friday.  Why is this keeping me from talking to you about Izzie and Alex?  Because every year, I head over to my favorite website: http://throwingthings.blogspot.com/.  I head over there and I blog about the Bee.

Minute by minute. 

Now, if you don’t know what is super fun and crazy awesome about watching kids spell words, you have never seen the Scripps National Spelling Bee.  It rocks.  It rocks hard.

I’m not kidding.

I’m seriously not kidding.

The Bee rocks and I’m not saying that because it is on ESPN and ABC.  I’ve been a fan of the Bee for many years and this year, I’ll be at http://throwingthings.blogspot.com/ doing my best to write interesting commentary on the Bee along with the super smart and funny other bloggers over there.  Join us.

Looking forward to your new post. Shonda, please blog to us throughout the summer. It would be great to hear from you thru the summer since we have to wait 4 LONG months before we get to see another NEW GA episode. If you would just let us hear from you once or twice a month would be great! I think I read that PD said you guys would be going back to work June 23rd I think . So thats exciting to know you will be getting started alittle earlier this summer. I wish the season was starting back earlier than Sept. and lasting longer than May. But, we'll be happy with whatever you give us. We just need our GA back ASAP. Thats why it would be so nice if you could keep in touch with us during the next few months. Tell us how things are going or remind us again how "HOT" Patrick Dempsey is and how lucky you are that you get to see him everyday! (ha). ....ANYTHING!

It wasn't JUST the final MerDer music that rocked (altho that crescendo was truly AWESOME). But the music that started with the first kissing scene and ended somewhat abruptly when Bailey turned out the light over the hospital bed, that music ALSO rocked and set the drumbeat for what played during the MerDer scene.

And speaking of music and scores, I love how you bring back that simple original melody everytime a really poignant scene (death or longing) is about to happen.

Hi I am from Peru, and i am a super big fan of GA (since season 1). In fact, i never wrote to any blog, i just didnt know what a blog is until now. But the thing is, im doing my thesis in comunications about your show, so now i really deep in your world, doing research, and trying to understand, why your characters do what they do, because i have to explain (to the jury, in an oral presentation) and prove that Greys Anatomy is one of the best tv shows ever, and im sure (like the rest of the world maybe) that the reason is THE WRITING (and of course the excellent cast)
So dear Shonda, thank you so much for this blog (I spent the last 2 days reading all of your articles, was really tiring, my eyes heart, but was awesome too) it helps me a lot to understand your brilliant mind. What else could i say. THANK YOU for your amazing show, i like to think that every episode helps me to be a better person, and give me hope to find happiness. SERIOUSLY. Mer and Der rocks my world. I wish you continue writing, and i hope that when Greys is over (because, everything has and end) you could give us another terrific show (no pressure at all)

YES!!!!!!!!!!! I was SO THRILLED to read about and then see Meredith and Derek FINALLY really getting together! Please, please make them really work -- who says there's not drama in making a relationship work TOGETHER?!

And please, get rid of Rose. I cannot stand her. Please, just get her out of there. Leave Meredith and Derek alone to work on their stuff. That's what the show needs. Plenty of mileage in that.

For some of you writing Shonda about Rose possibly being pregnant or Derek getting in an accident on his way to break up with Rose, I have to ask you?

Don't you listen to Shonda's podcast? Geez, if you did you would know the answers to these questions.

Shonda said that Rose IS NOT PREGNANT and that Derek WILL NOT GET IN AN ACCIDENT when he goes to break up with Rose.

Quit asking these questions because she answered them in the last podcast for the season. Meredith and Derek are together for good now. Try to be happy on that and quit creating drama that Shonda has already said is NOT HAPPENING next season.

Now on to the Bee. It was awesome! Loved each and every kid on there! Congrats Shonda! Nicely done!

Shonda got to say you're a genius for having that George and Lexie kissed in the finale and for having Lexie Grey be the girl for George. They're amazing together and have the bestest chemistry ever better then Gizzie (which I don't expect) and they're sweet and caring people, they belong together. Most of us Gizzie fans (we're more of George than Izzie fans anyway) have turn to George/Lexie fans or Gexie he he. Thank you for turning me from Gizzie to Gexie which I don't think possible. Pure genius.

Just a quick comment for those who have been worrying about the derek/rose/meredith thing and who, like Liz, may live far away and not have access to the podcast.
Shonda stated very clearly in the latest podcast that no, we don't need to freak out. Derek is not going to be in a car crash, the show is not going to start 6 months later and he's now with rose again, there won't be some terrible tragedy that keeps them apart. Meredith and Derek are together for good now. They both did what they needed to do to reach that place and now that they have they can actually be together. She said all this and also that some stuff may happen with them AS a couple, it won't be like "happily ever after" but they are definately, definately together.
so you guys can all stop worrying about those false rumors and worry about something important like wtf is going to happen with alex and izzie!

Shonda give us some light into Izzie's past like why she was nicknamed 'cricket' and really what happen to Hannah after the last time we saw suffer from cancer and need of Izzie's bone-marrowed. Did she survived or how is that girl doing you didn't even mentioned since she appeared in S3. I read BostonGlobe's review of this season finale and the writer also noticed that you have been cruel to some of the characters of Grey's but in particular of Izzie's character and he said why it's so. It's so obvious you targeted Izzie's character the most so I hope it's in you to be honest in your blog and hope to read one day your comment about Izzie. Not about how you love Izzie and how flawed she is but to talk about why you have totally damaged Izzie's in a way that most of Grey's fans can't seems to like her anymore maybe except me because I really seem to understand her and her action. So please tell us something about it why Izzie?
