GOOD MEDICINE...

Oh my God, WE ARE BACK!

We are.  Really.  SERIOUSLY.  Writers are writing away and we’re all very excited about getting back to our Mer and our Der and our Iz and our…well, our EVERYBODY. 

It has not been so fun to be away from our friends at Seattle Grace.  Remember when George walked the strike line?  It was kinda like that.  Only without the cuteness of George to make it fun.

But WE ARE BACK! 

Working to get episodes on the air for you!  Wha-hey!

Here’s the thing:  we have to write the episodes and the actors and crew have to shoot the episodes and the editors have to edit the episodes.  And it doesn’t matter how fast my beloved Bossy McBossy Rob Corn gets us to move, it’s still going to take some time.

Because my fingers only type at a certain speed.  And I have to say all the dialogue out loud to myself.  And ask McBossy weird questions.  Questions like, “McBossy, can you build a corn field over by the fake hospital and make it explode?”   Questions that cause him to furrow his brow and run from my office.  Plus, you remember that I need some time to lie on the floor and worry about the characters.  Which is why I try to drive Rob away with the questions.  So I have the lie-on-the-floor-and-worry time.

My point is, it’s going to take a while to get from my typing fingers to your TV screen.  Our first new episode will air at the end of April. 

What will you do until then to get your Grey’s on?   If only you could see the actors in person.  If only you could go see them on stage, in person, talking and laughing and yes, SINGING for charity…

Because while the strike is over, it will be months before many crew members are back to work.  Millions of dollars in income were lost.  Many crew members are suffering.  And we want to do anything we can to help out.

FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY, February 29, 2008 at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles, CA we are presenting GOOD MEDICINE.  A little singing, a little funny, a lot of raising money. 

Come on out and join the casts of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice.  See TR KNIGHT SING!  Hear Tony Winners Audra MacDonald and Sara Ramirez!  See Katie and Kate!  See Ellen and Sandra!  SEE THEM ALL!  CAUSE THEY WANNA SEE YOU! And help raise some money to help others!

Congratulations to all for a fair resolution to the strike. I have to agree with the poster above that making the event a DVD would generate a lot more money for the crew. Heck, to hear Sara Ramirez sing I would buy it!

Hopefully you're all enjoying working hard again, aka bringing MerDer back together and getting rid of the ridiculous plant (sorry, i can't even say her name, it pisses me off so much) Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new episodes!

P.S. I am currently trying to figure out if I'll be able to attend Good Medicine. It'd make my whole lifetime if I got to meet EP!

Welcome back. I'm glad you are back and I look forward to hearing your insights about what has been happening. Season 4 has been a little rough so far. I'm looking forward to some resolution to things.

I especially want to see growth for meredith and derek. They don't have to get married, but I would love to see them working together more, being together (even as friends). I am tired of the merry go round, it is exhausting. They have a magical quality that just makes Greys work. Please don't get rid of it. This show could have 25 million viewers with a strong mer/der.

Also, I think you are getting there, but let's examine some of Derek's many, many issues. I think we got a glimpse of his problems in 4.11, but overall, he still makes no sense. I'd love to see more Patrick on the show. He is a wonderful actor (and hawt) so let's get him more screen time please.

One more thing, I'd love to get rid of all the extra characters starting with Rose and Ava. They both just make me cringe. I don't know if Rose is supposed to be cute and sweet, but I find her more annoying than anything. And I'm totally confused about Ava. I am most certainly not rooting for her and Alex.
I want the primary characters to get the screen time.
I would also love to see Mcsteamy have a real story. He has become a sidekick and it is too bad.

I have one final and really, really important request. I'm actually begging here. Please don't end the season on a downer note. Please give us some hope for mer/der. Please don't end with a triangle between Derek, Rose and Mer. We've been good fans. We've been oh so patient. Please give us a little love, a little hope. Thanks

Welcome back! I am happy that the strike has ended. Very glad to see the writer's get a deal they are happy with, one that they deserve.

As for the benefit, I agree with those above, a DVD is a great idea!

Can't wait for the new episodes. I've missed Grey's! Not going to comment on what my personal wishes are, I will leave the storylines to the writers :)

Alright the writer's blog returns. Does that mean the other episodes will have input from the writers from 4.07 through 4.11? I really would like to hear the insight from the writers on the episodes they written.

I've been really loving the show except for 4.07 which seemed way to filler for me. I'm glad MerDer broken up for the time being since at the moment I think it's the best for them. I'm intrigued by Rose/Derek, and is Ava coming back for Alex? I hope we get something out of that storyline since it was one of my favorite from season three. Or is Alex going with Lexie? Cause I really don't think he deserves Izzie. He is major hypocrite....worse than Izzie was....I hope Alex and Izzie, at this moment, further their friendship since I think it's too soon for Alex/Izzie, and it's always been a one sided relationship.

I hope we will see some more George/Izzie. I couldn't get enough of them together. They just light up a screen together. I'm eager to see what happens next, and with Mark/Hahn.

Welcome back, and I say it's awesome idea to do Good Medicine. You guys should do a section for that on the official website for it. Or better yet put GOOD MEDICINE ON THE SEASON FOUR DVDS!!! For those who are unable to get there. Welcome back..

Now can we please give Mark and Alex some actual back story rather than just calling them manwhores and giving amazing actors like Justin and Eric nothing to work with. And please don't waste amazing characters like the two of them and Callie.

Welcome back...we've all certainly missed you, and look forward to seeing where you take the characters once the end of April rolls around.

Unfortunately, like many of the other fans of the show commenting here, I have no way of getting to the LA area to see Good Medicine either, since I'll be in school when it's on, and to boot I'm in Canada. That said, I'm definitely in support of a DVD being put together of the show for all the fans who can't be there in person, but would still love to see the show and support such a great cause. Thanks again...and congrats on the strike settlement.

I disagree with Kimberly. I think Meredith and Derek are meant to be and we supported you guys all throughout the strike. Krista even posted on the ABC board and we all did what she told us to (call glade) and we passed it along to our friends and family. How about this time you support us. Surprise us and make MerDer the healthy stable relationship of the show. We aren't asking for a happily ever after. But this show has become hard to watch.

and i was going to comment on the plant...but it isn't worth my time because this character is so pointless and brings down the whole show.

anyway i am very happy you are back and hope that you can get this show back on track.

please post a blog/podcast for 4.11. I'm sure you are very busy but we the hardcore fans are DYING for one. You need to give us some MerDer hope.

Welcome back, you were missed. Now I want to say one thing. I HATE HATE HATE Alex and Izzie, they make me ill, seriously so and ruined season 2 for me so don't you dare go back there. Especially not after seeing the wonderful love that george and Izzie have, real true love not some cheap sex with no chemistry like I and A. George and Izzie are why I watch so if you act like there is nothing at all between them and have dropped them completely, I will be going to a new show.
