Shhhhh…. All our doctors are sleeping.  It’s been a very long season and they needed a nap…

Just kidding.  Kinda.  We can’t believe we’re finally shooting the season finale.  27 original episodes this season!  Putting together this show, we were once again struck by how much really good, serious stuff happens every week.  Did anyone notice that there wasn’t a whole lot of medicine in the clip show?  That’s because there wasn’t time! If you didn’t see one of your favorite moments, remember, we only have 42 minutes to tell our story.  Some of our favs didn’t make it either.  But every clip that made it in, made it in for a reason – to set up the final five episodes of season two (the last two episodes will air on one night as a two hour finale!).  All you long-time loyal fans are in for one amazing ride.

Meredith and Derek.  Wow have these two been through it or what? And now they’re going to be friends.  Go on dog dates, be supportive of each other… be friends.  Really?  Can this work? We (the staff) wrote a version at one point where they decided NOT to be friends but then thought, nope, there’s more emotion to mine if they are friends.  Right?  But just when it seems like everything’s going to settle down and Meredith decides to knit, along comes our hunky vet Finn.  Hmmm.  Place your bets folks.  Friends?  Finn?  Addison?  McDreamy and Mer?  Hope the five episodes remaining are enough.  You don’t think we’re going to let it get easy for any of them…

There’s going to be lots of excitement and heartache for our other couples too.  Burke and Cristina are definitely going to be tested. And Alex and Izzie and Denny are such a sad triangle.  How can Izzie possibly chose?  Denny is so sweet.  But did you see Alex and Izzie with that cupcake?  Someone might not be quite as “evil” as he wants everyone to believe.  We love George and Callie too. George is Callie’s McDreamy.  Who knew?!  But is Callie the McLove of George’s life?  Can anyone really replace Meredith in George’s heart?

It’s frustrating we know, but we just can’t give you any answers right now.  Shonda would kill us!  But we hope you enjoyed seeing some of our favorite moments of Grey’s and know that you’re totally up to speed for the final five episodes of season two.  Get ready, set, Go!

Am I the only one who was totally depressed after the recap? It was going so well, (it will be a long time before someone tops the 'last kiss' writing and delivery for me!) but then what happened???? You choose to end the recap with the voice over of "starting over..." cut to Addie and Der cuddling (CUDDLING !#@$%) and then "moving on..." cut to Mer smiling up at the vet!!!!NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. I won't be able to stand it if you make Addie and Der all perfectly happy together and Mer moving on. You'll completely undercut all those real, truthful, momemts of an absolute soulmate's true love if you do this. I can't say I'll stop watching the show, because I love all the characters and the writing so much. But I will say you'll be throwing away one of the most ringlingly true emotional relationships I've ever seen on film or t.v.
Please... Addie is too smart and confident to stay with someone who loves someone else (why would anyone do that?) and unless Der is a fickle cad (which I don't buy!) he can't just switch off all that real love. (She 'saved' him for pete's sake!!!)

I know... this is a mini rant,... but I really felt physically sick at the end of the recap. Please don't betray your audience, or worse, your own writing!

Now, I'm going back to my season 1 DVD where Mer and Der were happy..... :-)

I checked the music section of the site and nothing was posted for the clip episode. Does anyone know who performed the song during the Meredith sleeping with George and confronting her dad section? It was a woman's voice, acoustic, and the lyrics said something about being given a second chance. I thought it was beautiful and would love to pick up the album. Thanks!

i'm completely in love with denny. BUT. there is no way alex is as awful as he is made out to be. i think there must be some deep dark secret lingering under his skin, and all of his bad-boy behavior will be explained someday! i think izzy needs to get a grip on the whole denny situation... because unless there is some miracle and he lives, she's just gonna end up heartbroken... again. maybe she likes being heartbroken. who knows. but alex is alive and kicking, and the cupcake thing? totally almost cried! it was so sweet. =)
ew, mcsteamy. if any of the girls on the show end up with him, i will die! unless it's addison, she can go back to him. after all, he loves her...

Can't wait for the new episodes to resume next week, but the clip show was nice too. I had already seen everything in it, of course, but I taped it and am now loaning it out to various people in an attempt to hook them on the show in time for sweeps. I have faith that the final five this year won't disappoint. Nice job all - keep up the great work!

okay okay i know he's a jerk and everyone hates him, but i really do like alex. besides being absolutely adorable, at times he really does have his sweet romantic moments. like when he showed up at joe's bar to "kiss Izzie goodnight", my heart completely melted at him. and when it really counts, he really is a caring guy underneath. and i really really dont like DENNY so please get rid of him soon.

and can i just so that i LOVE christina and burke. please please do not mess things up for them too badly. and i gotta admit, now that george is with callie, i don't really care about him as much anymore. they may end up together or whatever, but i just don't care about her, or him anymore for that matter.

and thank you for the show last night and the posting. i'd MUCH rather have a real episode, but this is better than nothing. so i am soooo excited for next week and i cannot wait for the season finale.

I know it’s “Grey’s” Anatomy, but you do realize that you have other, more interesting, characters portrayed by superior actors, right? I’ve read that you like Meredith because she’s real and flawed. I have to disagree on the real. A “real” woman wouldn’t pine for a man who lied to her, after being asked to share personal details, about being married. A “real” woman would be able to get out of bed ten months after the break up of a 2 month relationship. Hell, a real woman could do that after a genuine 2 year or 20 year relationship. I’m glad the majority of the viewers are women, because I wouldn’t want men to think all women are that weak. That they have to “live for” a man. Unfortunately, there are teenage girls watching who now think one night stands and pining for a married man are great life choices.

Honestly, you’ll have to make Addison a serial baby killer to make me dislike her as much as I do Shepherd or Meredith.

I have seen all the shows, at least once.Nothing new on the recap for me, except a preview of what you think we need to be reminded of for the next 5 shows. What do I think might happen? Doc gets very sick and Mer/Der with Addison getting her thoughts in, have to make decision about putting him to sleep. Der does not want Doc to suffer and Mer does not want to put him to sleep. It would be like the death of her relationship with Der. George is still not in the house with Mer and Izzy. McSteamy wants to rent the room. I have too much time on my hands. Can't wait for the new shows.

I am an original day one, episode 1 FAN! Thanks for the clip show. Loved the first one and loved this one too.
I have Season 1 DVD and have watched all the episodes at least 5 times.
I have to admit that it makes me sad that we don't get McDreamy and Mer having those trists and givng those sly looks to each other anymore. Their romance was the all time cutest ever on a TV show. And I have seen many as I am old. I just hope that if Shonda and you all decide to get them back together, it's not the last thing of the last season and then they ride off into the sunset. Hopefully, we will still see more of those romantic moments in many seasons to come. Meanwhile, I am sure you have lots of drama and laughs for us in the coming episodes and into next year. I am sooooo hooked and cannot imagine life without GA. I hope it stays around for years to come. It is truly the only show I care about and have in a long time. Thank You!!!

Watching the clips again was awesome. Still almost blew water out of my nose when George says, "...swallowing down some McVomit..." and when Bailey tells him to "stop looking at my vajayjay." They all are so great and really work so great together! Damn good show!

I like Mer and McVet, but then I love Derek, but a part of me wants Der/Addison to work.

Oh please don't tell me Izzie is going to go back to Alex!!!! That would just be so wrong. And how could she possibly choose??? Are you kidding me???? Denny is just wonderful how could it even be a question? Izzie needs that kind of person that sees her the way Denny sees her. In Denny's eyes Izzie can do no wrong. She has self doubts and he takes them all away. How horrible to destroy all of that.
Save Denny and Izzy and write in someone new for Alex that will see him the way Denny sees Izzie. That is the only solution.

First let me say thank you. for the blog and for reminding me of all the little things that build on the bigger picture some times its hard to see the forest for the trees.
I know it is imposible to please all the people all the time, and only some of the people some of time because of this I felt I should say I have no demands...none. I just wanted to say I am a fan, a fanatic may be more accurate.
I just wanted you to know that I love the show and I love the characters. I love the story lines and the threds that tie them all together. I look forward to the coming eppisodes. As for the dreadfully long summer I will survive because I know you are the masters of the cliff hanger and all summer long I will eagerly anticipate the return of one of the greatest writen telivision shows. so thank you.
