Shhhhh…. All our doctors are sleeping.  It’s been a very long season and they needed a nap…

Just kidding.  Kinda.  We can’t believe we’re finally shooting the season finale.  27 original episodes this season!  Putting together this show, we were once again struck by how much really good, serious stuff happens every week.  Did anyone notice that there wasn’t a whole lot of medicine in the clip show?  That’s because there wasn’t time! If you didn’t see one of your favorite moments, remember, we only have 42 minutes to tell our story.  Some of our favs didn’t make it either.  But every clip that made it in, made it in for a reason – to set up the final five episodes of season two (the last two episodes will air on one night as a two hour finale!).  All you long-time loyal fans are in for one amazing ride.

Meredith and Derek.  Wow have these two been through it or what? And now they’re going to be friends.  Go on dog dates, be supportive of each other… be friends.  Really?  Can this work? We (the staff) wrote a version at one point where they decided NOT to be friends but then thought, nope, there’s more emotion to mine if they are friends.  Right?  But just when it seems like everything’s going to settle down and Meredith decides to knit, along comes our hunky vet Finn.  Hmmm.  Place your bets folks.  Friends?  Finn?  Addison?  McDreamy and Mer?  Hope the five episodes remaining are enough.  You don’t think we’re going to let it get easy for any of them…

There’s going to be lots of excitement and heartache for our other couples too.  Burke and Cristina are definitely going to be tested. And Alex and Izzie and Denny are such a sad triangle.  How can Izzie possibly chose?  Denny is so sweet.  But did you see Alex and Izzie with that cupcake?  Someone might not be quite as “evil” as he wants everyone to believe.  We love George and Callie too. George is Callie’s McDreamy.  Who knew?!  But is Callie the McLove of George’s life?  Can anyone really replace Meredith in George’s heart?

It’s frustrating we know, but we just can’t give you any answers right now.  Shonda would kill us!  But we hope you enjoyed seeing some of our favorite moments of Grey’s and know that you’re totally up to speed for the final five episodes of season two.  Get ready, set, Go!

i'm guessing, Alex and Addison hook up ( or Addison and McSteamy - I'm pulling for McSteamy) - get caught ( cause he's got no Izzy coming - and she is as weak as she is good as a Dr) by then the vet will be in real good, so that will be the new triangle, McSteamy will swoop back in and make Dreamy's world difficult, while . George will love Callie, everybody has that one love they missed or regrets and MErideth will always be that for him, but it will cause tension With Callie, she won't take well to being put second, (she'll be the one to get him to mend the merideth friendship much to her dismay later) anywho those are some of my guesses.

I'm rooting for Addison and Derek ALL THE WAY!!! I want to see some men grovel for her hotness. Mere is not all that! Time to give some love to the lady doctor. If Addison leaves I will cry, a lot.

AWESOME! i dont think anybody expected a new blog since it was a recap episode. I LOVED the recap. I totally picked up on all the meredith & derek scenes and the lines they said and how it was edited. such as when meredith said "i lied, we arnt just friends, he's still my mcdreamy, and then it cuts to a scene with derek."

I am so super excited for the finale!!! it sounds like the triangle that wont die is finally going to die one way or another this season. YAY YAY YAY!

and we get to watch the finale for 3 hours. *dances in chair*

That was such a good recap. Thanks for it. I make my friends watch GA, and I taped this episode so they would be all up to day. I though it was amazing. And at the end...I noticed something...they showed Derek and Addison together and Joe said"A time for new beginnings..." And the Meredith and Finn "A time to move on..." So is this like a sign that AdDek is going to be together? That would be cool. ^^

i'm totally on board with everything you said:

I did see alex and izzie with the cupcake and i thought it was just beautiful...the way alex tried! he has travelled such a long journey already, from the horrible insensitive nurse-calling, hanging-posters-from-izzie-in-underwear guy to a guy who -yeah - still screws up a lot but has proven that there is much more behind that thick skin of his! i definitely feel for him...

burke and christina...i sure hope they'll make it! wonderful couple to watch!

george - he should get over meredith! it's good that his fantasy of the ideal woman - meredith - fell apart. no woman can live up to that..and he wasn't seeing her as she really was...so good for him if he moves one BUT he should still make up with meredith in time!

and last but not least: meredith and derek...there are simply no words to describe what i feel when i see those two on screen together (they should definitely have more on scream time together) if there was ever a couple in television history that had major chemistry and the best elevator moments ever then it would be mcdreamy and meredith. i am rooting for them with every fiber of my being!!! i don't care how many hunky vets and wives show up...my bet is on meredith and derek!!!

and i'm sure looking forward to the ride...wherever it may take us!

oh yeah, and i also picked up on some of the important MerDer scenes, one where derek describes their last kiss in such perfect detail. the background music stopped and it was silent. It was important to show that as a big moment. good job!

Love the show but hate the compilation shows. I'm glad we have a few more to look forward to before the summer. If I didn't have a DVR the compliation shows would be OK but since I record each week (or buy it) why do I need to see it rehashed???

I always knew that alex had a sweet, softer side to him. I was always under the impression that he was putting up a front. I'm an alex and izzy shipper all the way. alex loves izzy.
Denny has no place on the show, i hope he leaves.

I usually hate clip shows, but this one was great. Can't wait for the new ones though!

I have to agree that Alex doesn't deserve Izzy - he deserves better!! She really works my nerves - judgmental to the nth degree. Yes, Alex has done a lot of bad things, but there's so much pain there. And he's at least been consistently nice to Meredith. I LOVED when he let George have it in the locker room.

Anyway, thanks for the great show.

I am soooo excited!!! I hope Addison gets pregnant and Derek is seriously in love with both his wife amnd Merideth. I hope Mere has to choose between McVet and Derek. I hope we see Izzie and Alex show some real chemistry and I hope Christina lets down her guard again like she did when she lost the pregnancy! Writer's take note. There have been polls going around on wether Merideth should choose Derek or Finn and its split 50-50 on some sites 60-40 on others! No matter what happens we'll keep watching--just keep up the tension; Keep up the drama--and most of all keep up the passion between couples please--I loved those moments where Addi and Derek were loving with each other!!! If you aim to keep Addi with Der-- show us the chemistry --Because in the end we don't care who is with who; we watch for the drama, the chemistry, the passion--yea baby, you know it!!! Oh yea Ellis and Weber-passionate story packed with drama--and it was just told to us not shown and didn't we love it--we did. Denny-I don't find the stuff of human drama in his interaction with Izzie its just flirtatious exchange of words and Izzie getting attached to her patients which is what she always does. Sorry--he's not enthralling--maybe its because he's tied to a bed--I don't think so. Bomb squad guy was much more enthralling--he knew what Mer needed to hear and he said it--even though he was a bit of a jerk--he was awesome (actually mabe that's it--maybe Denny's too nice not manly enough--maybe that's george's problem too)--Oh yes that brings me to my most important point. We love Testosterone (not to be confused with sex)--So bring it on!!!!!

Hellooo writers of Grey's Anatomy! I would just like to express my complete ADORATION for your excellent show. I tell you, after the season finale, I may start going through painful G.A. withdrawal symptoms - and I totally blame YOU brilliant buggers for hooking me so! But then it will come back and I will huddle up for another satisfying string of emotional intrigues. Writers, actors, everyone- you guys are great!

I love this show! I have been going into withdrawals the last few weeks! I don't know how I am going to make it over the summer.

I would have to agree that Callie is not George's McLove. She is great for a rebound chic, but not for long term. They just don't fit together well. I would love to see him get braver and more self confident and then have Meredith look at him one day and say "Wow, what have I been missing out on." Of course after she has run her course with Derek, if that is to happen. Can't wait till Sunday! I am counting the hours.

Questions:
1. How old are all the characters. Knowing ages would be helful.
2. How much time has passed since their first day as interns. I love time frames.

Thank you for the new blog! I am soooo excited about the remaining episodes. I love this show so much, having grown up with Patricks movies and such.I look forward to seeing him everyweek.Im going to be sad after the season wraps up...what will we do on Sundays without Greys Anatomy??????? I agree-- getting desperate for the new episode. Patrick is amazing! There are few times when my heart skips a beat when watching TV. My heart definitely experienced a short-lived arrythmia when Der relived the last kiss for Mer. OH...MY...GOD. How could she let him walk out the door?!

Thanks for making a beautifully edited episode that reminded me of all the reasons I love grey's. I had forgotten how much I love each and every one of the characters, because it's been such a long time since the last new episode. But this was great. A great recap, and now I am PUMPED and ready for the last 5 episodes.

YES a new post!!! Wasn't expecting one for just a clip show, but I decided to check just in case, and the writers of Grey's have proved themselves to be AWESOME once again!

I enjoyed the clip show much more than I thought I would...it seemed like after every scene I would say, "Wow, that's gotta be the best scene from the entire season!" and then the next clip would be even better!

And 5 more episodes...I thought there was only 4 more, too, but who's complaining?!?!?

Have to echo plea for early release of Season 2 DVD--we'll be dying to get it!

You guys have to know that we true-blue Meredith/Derek fans have been aching all season. Please, please let Derek be McDreamy no matter what and please, please don't kill all hope for the two of them. I'd like to special-order a quick Mer/Der reunion, but I know I have to be patient. Just a little hope to cling to all summer would be really nice!!!

Thanks for the blog and for letting us tell you how much we love your show! Would you support an organization that provides therapy or some other support to those of us who are addicted and will be suffering from withdrawal all summer?

Ok I love the recap episodes but it KILLS me going 3 weeks in a row without a new episode. Not in a good "ooo i'm so excited for the next new episode" kinda way, but "omg this is so annoying i don't even want to wait for the new episode" way. so i don't know if you guys have any control over this but for next season space out the beginning/middle episodes so that in the end we can get more than 1 new episode in 4 weeks because it gets really frustrating.

besides that....I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE FINAL 5 EPISODES! i also heard there was only 4 left, so i'm excited for the bonus episode. please don't tease me with mer/der in the last 30 sec, i don't think my heart could take it.

love the cute vet, keep him around, but in the end it has to be der/mer, but i'm sure you guys know that too haha.

once again, can't wait for the final episodes, the dvd, and season 3!
